January went smoothly for us. We continued completing schoolwork, getting to know our new community, and trying to establish new routines. One surprising and fun occurrence that did happen was a rare snowfall! Given they only see snow every couple of years, my girls were delighted to be able to play in it.
We do not have any notable plans for this month. I will likely make some festive sweets for Valentine’s Day, but otherwise our month should be routine. Here are the meals we plan to consume.

We will eat a variety of easy-to-prepare items for lunch this month. Examples include chicken fingers, quiche, sandwiches, waffles (including these chocolate waffles that are a fun Valentine’s Day treat), smoothies (including spiced pear and strawberry chocolate), and leftovers.
Breakfast
For breakfast this month, we will eat a variety of items. Examples include muffins (including pumpkin chocolate chip and cherry chocolate chip), cereal, oatmeal (including pear almond oatmeal and cranberry brown sugar oatmeal), and cheesy-baked egg in toast.
Final thoughts
I mentioned to my mother that February is my favorite month for meal planning because it is exactly 4 weeks in length. She burst my bubble pretty quickly by reminding me that this year there are 29 days in the month!
Do you have any special plans for February? What will you be doing for Valentine’s Day?
