Time seems to pick up speed with every passing year. It feels like just yesterday we were beginning 2023, yet here we are at the start of 2024!
We had a nice Christmas. We had family visit and were able to engage in several traditions that we love. Now it’s time to buckle down and get back to doing schoolwork. Here are the meals we will eat this month as we do this.
Days 1-7
Breakfast: pumpkin chocolate chip muffins ■ leftover muffins ■ pear almond oatmeal ■ bagels with cream cheese, bananas ■ cereal, pears ■ leftover banana nut pancakes (from yesterday’s lunch) ■ pear almond oatmeal
Lunch: grilled cheese sandwiches, grapes ■ chicken fingers, mandarin oranges ■ pear spice smoothie, ham and cheese quiche ■ cheddar broccoli soup, veggie chips ■ banana nut pancakes ■ protein plates (plates filled with protein-rich finger foods), grapes ■ leftovers, apples
Dinner: seasoned steak strips, macaroni and cheese, fresh veggies with ranch dip ■ superior chicken noodle soup ■ baked ziti, green beans ■ creamy Mediterranean chicken skillet, steamed broccoli ■ soft tacos, corn ■ slow cooker meatball tortellini ■ country chicken and veggies over biscuits
Days 8-14
